Fighting for Funding
If re-elected, I will continue to fight for our state funding, stand up for social justice, research and advocate for the most effective curriculum choices; including those that support social emotional development, phonics instruction, readers and writers workshop, play in early childhood education, rigorous and inclusive history lessons, Science, Technology Engineering, Art & Math (STEAM) skills, standards based mathematics instruction like math workshop, hands-on environmental education, the arts, recess, and so much more.
I bring my experience as an early childhood educator, organizer, avid reader, outdoor education advocate, Girl Scout assistant leader, inclusion teacher, shop steward for the family childcare union, non-profit board member, business owner, professional development leader, mother, and community member to help me meet these goals.
