Listening to teaching podcasts while the kids are resting is a great way for me to sneak in a little unofficial professional development and push myself to be a better teacher. Sometimes the stories make me feel like, yes! I agree!! I am completely on board with this. This is my professional community! Other times, wow! That's new. Maybe I could try that... Whatever they make me feel, they always make me think. As Family Child Care Providers, it's not always easy to afford the really great professional development conferences. Great Podcasts are a way for me to learn without leaving the house.
